What is the Foundation Accounting Software course?

This course will enable you to use a computerised system to enter accounting transactions, perform a reconciliation, correct errors and produce a range of reports. You will also be able to maintain the security of accounting information using passwords and backup routines.

Students must have completed a Level 2 bookkeeping qualification or be competent in double entry bookkeeping.

Units include:

  • Set up Accounting Software
  • Process Sales and Purchases Transactions
  • Process Bank and Cash Transactions
  • Perform Period End routine tasks
  • Produce Reports

Teaching and learning

The course will include classroom tuition combined with practical exercises using Sage software.
