Paying for your course

It's now government policy that individuals and employers must contribute more to their education and training. This policy affects the funding we receive through the Education and Skills Funding Agency; it also affects the fees we have to charge. We're very conscious that this has meant increasing fees for some courses, but we're determined to make sure our courses give you good value.

Advanced Learning Loans

None of the courses offered at Alton College may be paid for using an Advanced Learning Loan

Booking your place

We can't reserve a place for you on your chosen course/s unless we've received your completed enrolment form and course fee/s (if applicable). You can enrol and pay online, by post or by visiting our College in person. Due to changes in compliance laws we are no longer able to store credit / debit card details. Please do not write them on your form. You can send a cheque, cash, or come in person with a credit card.

Please enrol early to avoid disappointment as many courses fill very quickly.

Overseas students

Tuition fees for overseas students may vary from those quoted on the web site. Please call us on 01420 592200 for advice.

Examination, registration and assessment fees

We usually include the exam, registration and assessment fees in the advertised course fee.  If we haven't included these fees, the likely extra cost is clearly stated. You must pay these fees when you enrol.

If you enrol on an exam-based funded course, we expect to enter you for the examination, otherwise you may have to pay more for your course.

Late enrolments

You need to get permission from the tutor to join a course that's already started.
