Alton College

Welcome to Business Advantage at Alton College

Finding time for training is not straightforward for small or even larger enterprises; yet a strong competitive position depends on a workforce having clear business, technical and management skill advantages.

Training looks much more attractive when it's flexible. We can help by putting together training packages to suit workplace needs. We can measure skills gaps and find the right training mix, and we can deliver training in the workplace or at a convenient local venue, or on the College campus. We also offer courses and events matched to national educational and vocational training programmes, including statutory training requirements.

Funding is a perennial headache but new Government schemes such as Train to Gain are emphasising the upskilling of Britain's workforce. We can help identify training programmes that take advantage of these schemes: our aim is to engage with employers to make the best possible use of the funding available.
