Engineering the Future

As part of Alton College’s preparation for T Levels, we are reaching out to local employers to come in and speak to students about life in the workplace and their career journeys to date. The initiative started recently with the visit of a young, local engineer, Nadia Domanski from Woking who studied at the University of Bath. She is now working on Oil Rigs for the global Engineering company Schlumberger.

"Having told my BTEC Level 2 Engineering class at the beginning of the year that I was a big Formula 1 fan, one of the students, Michael Greenfield told me that his Dad, Ian worked for McLaren Racing in Woking.

One month later, ten members of the course and 3 members of staff headed off to Woking in a minibus full of anticipation and delight.
