Community Courses for Kids and Teens

Tuesdays

"Ultrasonic" Rock School at Alton College

4.30-6.00pm in the Michael Gray Building

If you are a rock musician aged between 11 -16 looking for bass, guitar, drums, keyboard or vocal lessons and a band to play with, then the Alton College Rock School is for you!

Led by a team of young professional tutors, Rock School will offer you instrumental lessons to help develop your skills as a player and as a band member. Each week there will also be a band workshop session where you can put into practice what you have learnt, and a listening session where you can find out more about what makes music tick.

If you love playing music, this is a fantastic way to get band experience, and can lead to a vocational qualification.

No previous band experience necessary – just bring an instrument.

All tunes will be learned by ear, so there is no need to read music.

Cost: £10/session with first 3 sessions free for newcomers or free with Reach Out and Have a Go vouchers.
