Aspiring and practicing managers in and around East Hampshire and beyond can now develop their management skills and attain up-to-date qualifications locally and conveniently.
Speaking after Alton College had just received approval to offer the highly regarded Chartered Management Institute (CMI) Certificate and Diploma in Management qualification, Bob Hill - Head of Department for Administration, Management and Professional, said:
"I am delighted that the College has achieved this approval. The CMI is the leading management qualification and professional organisation in the UK and its qualifications are recognised around the world".
"The CMI were very impressed with the staff who will be delivering the qualifications, as well as the excellent facilities and reputation of the College. It is really gratifying to be able to offer this portfolio of qualifications."
The Certificate in Management will be taught on Monday evenings from September 2005 and the Diploma in Management on Thursday evenings. The College believes that course fees will be very competitive.
The College received a Grade 1, the highest possible grade, for its own leadership and management from Ofsted when they were last inspected.
