Bar Mock Trial HATRICK!

For the third year running Alton College law students have secured their place in the finals of the Bar Mock Trial, a national competition run by the Citizen Foundation. Fifteen students competed in the regional final on 29 November beating other colleges, grammar school and academies.

The competition involved students playing the part of barristers, witnesses, jurors, clerks or ushers arguing the case before two real judges. Alton College won the regional final in Guildford securing a faux conviction of students from QMC College of possession of a class B drug.

Law teacher Christina Heath said: 'The student's were brilliant. We are delighted to have achieved a hatrick in securing a place in the final, this year it takes place at the Court of Session in Edinburgh in March 2015'.
