Children get a taste of culture
Batik printing, pizza baking, skateboarding and carnival mask making were amongst a wealth of activities available to children in the community this half term.
The carefully selected activites were designed to introduce youngsters to a variety of different cultures and activities that they might not have been familiar with before. They were able to experience Indian culture through Bollywood dance and make-up, Brazilian culture through carnival mask making and Italian cuisine through pizza baking. Booking in advance meant that children were able to pick and choose the activities they wanted to try out.
"The children were thoroughly engaged in the session from beginning to end. The music was fantastic and everybody was having a great time. We are really looking forward to including Just Jhoom on to our summer activity programmes across East Hampshire, and I hope Bollywood continues to grow across the area. It is a fantastic experience that I hope hundreds will enjoy!"
