Cycling and running trio

Congratulations to three Alton College students who completed the third race in the Portsmouth Duathlon Series 2015 last weekend. Alex Powell and Michael Penn, both previously at Heath End School, and Lauren Hole, previously at Perins School, completed the course in some impressive times considering it was their first Duathlon, and it was all for charity. All three students are all studying for the Extended Diploma in Public Services and will be shortly heading off to university. The 10km run, followed by a 25km bike ride takes in some of the sites of Portsmouth and views of the South coast. The students were supported on the route by Alton College teacher of Health and Social Care, Dr Caroline Emery, Teacher of Public Services, Jo Edmonds and two hard working Special Constables from the Hampshire Police and the Student Watch Project.
