In a really competitive field, black belt judoka Lucy Williams was named Junior Sportswoman of the Year for her fantastic achievements both locally and nationally representing GB. In the Young Volunteer of the Year category, Amy Sly came out as winner for her selfless dedication to helping coach netball at Perins and Medstead Primary School, fundraising for MIND by organising a 12-hour netball match at College and for volunteering with the girls’ section at Alton Rugby Club. Foundation Learning student Federica Vazzana was shortlisted for the Senior Disability Sportsperson of the Year award for her recent fantastic form in trampolining competitions and came runner up in the category.

The awards were hosted by Olympic legend Roger Black with guest speaker Charlotte Edwards, a great ambassador for women’s sport having spent 20 years in international cricket and now Director of Cricket for Hampshire.
