Hundreds raised for Children in Need

Students and staff raised £742 from our cake sale and bucket collections. Jess Sutton, Press Officer for the Students’ Union, spent hours in her kitchen baking five trays of cakes of different flavours. Together with donations from others, the two breaktimes were heaving with hungry staff and students eager to buy a cake and donate some cash.

Catering staff donated toffee apples to add to the doughnuts and popcorn also on sale.

The dress code for the day saw staff and students raid their wardrobes for spots and stripes. John Stratford, Director of Learning, embraced the theme and made many heads turn as he dressed up as a lady to walk around classrooms until his bucket collection was full.

A huge thank you and well done to the Students' Union who planned and delivered the events.
