League table results out!
We take the lead over local colleges for the highest average point score per exam entry in Government figures released last week.
The Department for Education website explains: 'An average point score per examination entry gives an indication of the average grade achieved by students at a school or college. The higher the grades achieved by students, the higher the point score per examination entry.'
The Government’s performance league tables also make other comparisons such as point score per student.
The Department for Education website says: 'An average point score per student provides a measure of the average size of study programme taken by students at a school or college. The more qualifications taken by students, the higher the average point scores per student.'
The table below shows how we rank highest locally for average point score per exam entry.
Jane Machell, Principal said: ‘I’m pleased we’ve maintained our strong position in the league tables and proud of our student and staff achievements. Our priority is to enable our students to achieve the best grades possible which means they can progress onto university and employment and realise their full potential.’
