New Year, New You!
Alton College is launching a new range of community courses for all ages in the New Year ranging from Fruit Planting and Pruning Workshops to Boxercise Classes for kids, so the whole family can exercise their bodies and minds!
There is a certificated Adult Education programme with English as a Foreign Language starting on 12 January and the Level 3 Diploma in Early Years Education and Care starting on 2 March. New community courses include; Circuits and Boxercise fitness sessions, a range of gardening workshops and courses in Digital SLR Cameras, Exploring Observational Drawing and a Women’s Introduction to Car Maintenance. Younger learners can choose from Ultrasonic Rock School, Junior Netball, After School Art Club, Boxercise classes and Saturday Art Workshops. Children who qualify for the Alton Buckle ‘Reach Out and Have a Go’ vouchers will qualify for a discount on these community courses. If you are unsure if you qualify for these vouchers, please ask at your child’s school. This scheme is one of Waitrose Alton’s featured charities for December.
