Ofsted Glory

The Chief Inspector of Ofsted published her Annual Report for 2009/10 on Wednesday 1st December.  The report lists Alton College as one of eight colleges to be judged by Ofsted as Outstanding and one of only two sixth form colleges (the other is in Manchester).
In addition, Alton College is one of only three colleges judged Outstanding in three consecutive inspections.
Principal Jane Machell, expressed her extreme pride: "We are delighted with this recognition by Ofsted. To be highlighted as the only sixth form college which is Outstanding in the South of England is even more pleasing and I  congratulate all the staff and students at the College for this achievement.”.
