Ofsted release report on our Childcare Centre
The Alton College Childcare Centre greeted an unexpected Ofsted inspector to the premises on 5th May this year, to undertake a routine, no-notice-required inspection. The College are absolutely delighted to have received the Inspection report which rates the quality of the provision as "outstanding".
The Ofsted report, which can be accessed here, claims that: ‘Children are extremely happy and settled at the nursery, which provides a very welcoming and bright, child friendly area for children to play and learn'. It goes on to say; 'Every child is valued and included to ensure none are disadvantaged. The staff''s excellent knowledge of each child ensures they very successfully promote children's learning and development. Excellent links are in place with the parents to ensure the children make the best possible progress. The staff team are committed and enthusiastic, and regular monitoring of the provision ensures priorities for development are identified and acted upon; resulting in continuous improved outcomes for children.’
Our team of qualified childcare staff are overjoyed at the results of the inspection and continuously work hard to improve the quality of supervision the children receive; the child’s safety, welfare, education and development the forefront of all activities.
Alton College Child Care Centre Manager, Barbara Wills commented " we have worked extremely hard this year and our efforts have been recognised"
