Outstanding success in Geography

For the second year running, retired Geography teacher Steve Millar has presented the Steve Millar Award for Excellence in Geography, to the student who achieves top marks in their Geography AS level and continues the subject on to A level.

This year's winner is Charles Gooderham who has been presented with a certificate and prize of £100.

We also thought this was a great opportunity to acknowledge the success of Fin Loh who recently won the undergraduate essay writing competition for Geography at Trinity College, Cambridge with an essay title “What topics will be of most interest to geographers one hundred years from now, and why?” Fin is currently studying Maths, Geography and Spanish at Alton College.

A huge thank you to the Alton College Foundation for organising the Steve Millar award for Excellence in Geography.
