On Thursday 30 April, Alton College Student Watch, a Hampshire Constabulary Partnership, hosted an event at the college called #RUSafe? It was run with year 8 and 9 students from the two local schools Amery Hill and Eggar’s. The event invited agencies from across the South of England to the College to speak to the students and help them understand the dangers they face in their daily lives. These agencies included British Transport Police, Southern Domestic Abuse Service and Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service. The students all seemed to really enjoy the day and went away with some fantastic advice for the future on what to look out for to prevent them getting caught up in situations which may have arisen without them being aware before the event. We would like to thank all who took part during the day and hope that next year will be as successful.
