Summer sporting achievements

Earlier in the month, several Alton College students competed in the Hampshire County Athletics Championships in Portsmouth as part of the Aldershot & District team. All students were extremely successful in their respective disciplines. Luke Dorrell, previously at Heath End School, came first in the 100m sprint and Freya Davis, previously at Hawley Place School, also came first in the 3000m category. Nathan Gibson, from Weydon School, was placed fifth in the 1500m race. All three students are waiting to hear whether or not they have made the Hampshire team for the English Schools competition in Gateshead in July.

Earlier in the year, both Nathan and Freya also participated in the English Schools Cross Country Championships. More details about that event here
