Triple sporting success for Alton

The Alton College sports department is celebrating success three times over as the rugby, football 1st team and mixed hockey teams are all at the top of their respective Hampshire Colleges league. The football 1st team have won seven of their eight matches, most recently beating Barton Peverill College in a 7-1 victory. The goals in this exciting match came from Will Phillips, James Johnson, Will Marchant, Jordan Osborne, Jason Sampson and two from Connor Fielder. Next week the team face a tricky away trip to Totton.

Football squad 2011-12

The mixed hockey College team have played and won all four of their matches and currently head the table with a five point lead above second place Barton Peverill.

The rugby team held their place at the top of the table until Brockenhurst played their game in hand which allowed them to creep above Alton. Alton now wait for their opportunity to play their upcoming game in hand.
