Two places in International Print Exhibition

Amanda Bollini, Head of Photography at Alton College, and Argiel Del Mundo, an A2 photography student, both submitted photographs to the Royal Photographic Society in an attempt to feature in the 155th International Print Exhibition 2012. Their prints were in amongst 2,800 others submitted by 747 photographers worldwide and both were selected to be in a display of just 123 images.

What’s more, Amanda’s ‘Poppy and Honey at Pett Level, Winchelsea Beach’ seen below, was the winner of one of just two silver awards available; a fantastic achievement.

Argiel’s image ‘Red’ was inspired by photographer Solve Sundsbo and his favourite colour to use when painting. He said “Having found out that I was selected to be part of the exhibition against 2,800 images, I felt very honoured. It has given me a lot more confidence in my work."

The full exhibition, sponsored by Allen & Overy, will be on display at Bishop’s Square in the City of London in July 2012.

Further information about the exhibition can be found here.

Congratulations to both Amanda and Argiel!
