Eleven students were presented with an award from the Lions Club of Alton last week for completing a minimum of 50 hours of volunteering in the community.

Welcomed to the college were the Lions Club of Alton and the Mayor of Alton who, along with Jane Machell; our Principal, and Jeannie Satchell; Volunteer Centre Manager, presented students with their certificates.

Amanda Bollini, Head of Photography at Alton College, and Argiel Del Mundo, an A2 photography student, both submitted photographs to the Royal Photographic Society in an attempt to feature in the 155th International Print Exhibition 2012. Their prints were in amongst 2,800 others submitted by 747 photographers worldwide and both were selected to be in a display of just 123 images.
