If you are interested in learning more about how Law can affect nearly all parts of your life, studying AS and A2 Law may be for you.

Hear what our current Law students, James Brown, Annie Haines and Jess Wilson, feel about why you should study the subject

Some of our past Law students are now at University or have graduated  and are lawyers. This is what they told us about how AS and A2 Law at Alton has helped them:
“I've just finished my first week of law lectures and I am realising how incredibly helpful A-level Law is! …I've already had to present before 300 people and defend my ideas as the other students questioned them - and I did quite well! I would be lost without my two years in Alton.”
Rachel Rigg, 2008-2010 now studying Law at Manchester University

“Law at A Level seemed a very current and fascinating subject. I always enjoyed pondering the moral and often legal, dilemmas splashed over the front pages of the broadsheets; Law was a natural choice. Studying Law at Alton certainly gave me a solid grounding for what is a challenging English Law and French Law degree. It taught me to construct arguments coherently whilst remaining concise and to the point. It also gave me a greater interest in current affairs… imperative for a Law based degree”
Chris Dominey, 2005-7, now studying English Law with French Law at King’s College, University of London

If you enjoy formulating a strong argument, you can join the Bar Mock Trial enrichment and act and argue in cases competing with other colleges before real judges.
