Summer Term Bus Passes
Summer term bus passes are now available to purchase from the Online Store.
How Much is a Pass?
The price for the Summer Term pass is only £110. You may pay in full or by 2 instalments of £55.
Is it worth buying a pass for the Summer Term?
Yes it is. £110 is the equivalent of 22 days (4 weeks and 2 days) of return tickets with the rest of the time for free. It is easier to show a pass than having to find change every morning!
I’m a Second Year Student...
There are 32 teaching days (6 weeks and 2 days) until 30 May and then you may want to use the bus service over the exam period as well. The bus pass is still good value for you.
I'm a First Year...
You have 10 weeks of teaching days as a minimum (not including work experience or exams), so a bus pass is by far the cheapest way to travel.
When Should I Pay?
You may pay for the full cost pass between 3 Feb and 16 March.
Alternatively you may pay the first instalment 3 Feb - 1 March and the second instalment 2 Mar – 16 March.
(Later orders will be accepted but may delay the issue of your pass).
When do I collect my pass?
Passes will be available for collection from the Hub desk from 26 March and will be valid for use from that day.
My family has a low household income – is there any help available with the cost of the bus pass?
If you would like to buy a bus pass but you will have problems paying for it, please come to the Hub desk and enquire about a bursary. Bursaries are available to families whose income is less than £20,000 per year. Funds are limited so please apply now.
I receive a bursary – do I need to re-apply or order a bus pass?
If you are already in receipt of a bursary for your bus pass, you do not need to re-apply. Your bus pass will be ordered for you - you just need to collect it on 26 March.
