Teacher of Skills for Learning ( Performing Arts)

We are looking for a vibrant and enthusiastic teacher with the ability to remain calm in all situations.  You would be working in an innovative and expanding curriculum area at Alton College where you would be responsible for the course management of a specially developed course for young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities. 

You need to have a performing arts teaching background and be able to deliver one discipline (Drama, Music or Dance) and have experience of the others. Performing Arts  is used within the curriculum  as a vehicle to develop independence and communication skills. Having experience of Performance would be an advantage. Additionally you would need to be prepared to maintain and develop links with a professional Performing Arts School who have been an important partner in the development of this course.
