T level Lecturer

Enhanced CPD package for first year – to include fully funded initial teacher training

HSDC is looking for three industry professionals to join our highly experienced, innovative and committed team of lecturers to design and deliver our new two-year, technical study programme, designed with employers to give young people the skills that industries need.

We are recruiting for three new 0.5 posts that will work with our existing team and employers to design and deliver T Levels in Digital and Construction.

Are you an industry professional with a minimum of three years’ experience in either Digital, IT, Construction or Engineering?

In the past 18 months have you worked in either Digital, IT, Construction or Engineering?

Would you like to hold a Level 5 Teaching Qualification and be fully funded and supported to achieve this?

Are you looking for a new and dynamic way to share your experience and knowledge and support the development of the next generation of working professionals in these industry areas?

We are looking specifically for industry professional whom have a background in: 

Built environment


Technology and Design in construction 


Engineering Mathematics 

Further mathematics in Construction/Engineering

Structural Mechanics 

Construction Science and materials

Building Surveying

Construction Design and Management

Highway Engineering

Land Surveying

Construction in Civil Engineering

Health, Safety and Welfare in Construction and the Built Environment

Software development 

Data Management 


Electronics engineering 

Electrical engineering

Where successful applicants are from a relevant occupational specialism, an enhanced CPD package and fully funded teacher training will be provided. This will be a Level 5 Certificate in Education over two years. Successful recruits will have to enrol on their qualification by September 2019 and have completed by July 2021. For the first eight weeks, there will be eighteen hours per week of shadowing, and until the end of March 2020 there will be five hours per week of reduced workload to support your development. This is funded in partnership with Education Training Foundation.


£29,178.90 to £38,129.52 per annum (pro rata for part time) , plus Market Supplement £5,000 (pro rata)
