This is the first of a suite of qualifications leading towards QTLS (Qualified Teacher Learning Sector).
It is aimed at those people who are perhaps already teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector, and who now have to gain recognised teaching qualifications, or at those people who are perhaps investigating the possibility of working in the sector. The qualification has been designed to provide a stepping stone to a qualification which will enable a teacher to gain either ATLS (Associate Teacher) or QTLS (Full Teacher Role)
An interview is required before you can enrol on this course.
This award is 1 Unit Award made up of several sections. These sections cover candidates’ understanding of variety of issues involved in teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector.
The Award is offered at two levels.
Level 3 is aimed at those people who are not yet teaching, or who are teaching in a role where there is little or no opportunity to be involved in the planning process of courses and lessons.
Level 4 is aimed at those who are already working in what might be termed a “traditional” teaching role i.e. responsible for both planning and delivery of courses.
Assessment is via a series of theoretical and practical assignments which are set and completed during the course.
