Why come to Alton College?

Alton College is the ideal place for students from overseas to come and benefit from everything that life in the UK has to offer. The College itself boasts an outstanding academic record, with a 99% pass rate for A Levels, and almost 80% of undergraduates who study A Levels with us, going on to achieve a First or Upper Second Degree.

The campus is modern and well equipped, providing students with the ideal facilities to support their studies.

Alton itself is a quiet rural town just over 1 hour by train from London, and close to the historic cities of Winchester and Portsmouth to the south. In the nearby village of Chawton can be found the 17th Century House where one of England's greatest novelists, Jane Austen, spent the last eight years of her life.

All of our International Students are housed with local families, where they will take part in family life, eat meals together and be able to practice their English in friendly surroundings.

Students can choose to study A Levels in the standard 2 year programme, or for some, depending upon ability and subjects, the Fast Track One Year programme.
