After starting my professional life as a full time orchestral player I went on to train as a teacher and spent many years working as a peripatetic teacher in Surrey where I not only taught double bass and guitar but also worked as a conductor of various ensembles.

I am now semi-retired and spend my time in lots of different activities. I am the principal double bass player in the Southern Pro Musica orchestra. I also enjoy conducting youth orchestras of all standards whenever possible. With a bit more time available for practice I am also spending more time again with my first musical love-the classical guitar.
