We are looking for an enthusiastic and energetic Nursery Practitioner to join our team at our outstanding nursery, Little Faces Nursery, situated in the grounds of South Downs College Campus.

The ideal candidate must demonstrate that they have a good knowledge of the EYFS and a passion for childcare and development, being able to use their own initiative to ensure that the children’s individual needs are met.  They must offer the best care and stimulation to ensure that each child reaches their full potential.  The candidate should also be flexible in their working and be a good team player.  They must have good communication and writing skills.

Applicants must hold a level 3 qualification in childcare, and it would be desirable to hold a current Paediatric First Aid certificate (training can be given).  They must also have good experience of working with ages 0-4.

HSDC is looking for three industry professionals to join our highly experienced, innovative and committed team of lecturers to design and deliver our new two-year, technical study programme, designed with employers to give young people the skills that industries need.

Where successful applicants are from a relevant occupational specialism, an enhanced CPD package and fully funded teacher training will be provided. This will be a Level 5 Certificate in Education over two years. Successful recruits will have to enrol on their qualification by September 2019 and have completed by July 2021. For the first eight weeks, there will be eighteen hours per week of shadowing, and until the end of March 2020 there will be five hours per week of reduced workload to support your development. This is funded in partnership with Education Training Foundation.

The People Services Team at Havant & South Downs College are looking to recruit a full time, fixed term Business Partner for 1 year. The post holder will be required to work across all 3 college campuses which are based in Alton, Havant and Waterlooville. 

This post primarily will be supporting the Senior Business Partner with the provision of consistent and reliable generalist HR support in relation to relevant policies and practices across the College including the practical application of employment law with staff issues.

The successful candidate will be expected to engage with respective Business areas with the strategic HR agenda so stakeholders understand the associated activity and are clear on their own and their team's accountabilities for delivering and embedding it by building trusted relationships across the College.

Havant and South Downs College are seeking to appoint a motivated and professional individual who has knowledge of all college provisions regarding full and part time offers and proven data entry experience, as a Work Experience Mentor at the Alton Campus.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience of IT systems and a clear understanding of the priorities of work placements in the FE sector and the growth in the requirement of this area.

This post will involve the delivery of outstanding work placement provision, ensuring compliance from all curriculum areas to include work experience as a formal part of study programmes, coordination of the provision of work and volunteering placements for all students as directed and maintenance of databases, ensuring administrative duties are adhered to with regard to insurance, health and safety and DBS checking where relevant.

Applicants must be qualified to at least a Level 2 in English and Maths, have excellent IT skills and hold a Leadership and Management qualification or equivalent at Level 3 or above (or willingness to obtain).

We are seeking to appoint a motivated and professional individual as a part-time, term-time Examinations Assistant on the Havant campus, working 20.5 hours a week – all day Monday and Friday, the remaining hours to be worked on one fixed day (Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday). 

This post will involve exam administration relating to A Levels, GCSEs, university, scholarship and mock exams, ensuring that high quality processes and procedures are in place.  The role will also involve assisting with A Level exam results days in August.  

Knowledge of education and exam procedures would be an advantage, but full training will be given.  

To be considered for this role, you should be able to demonstrate the ability to work under pressure and a flexible approach with attention to detail and excellent communication skills.

This post will involve a frontline enquiry service within the Student Hub and general administrative support on all areas relating to the welfare and support for students in the College, as directed by the Student Wellbeing Manager.

Applicants must be qualified to at least a Level 2 in English and Maths and hold qualifications or previous training in Customer Service.
